Fundraiser Goes Without A Skimmity Hitch!

A Wimborne gig held on 23rd October in aid of The Gunstone Trust was without doubt a phenomenal success! Revelers filled the White Hart’s beer garden for the musical extravaganza on Saturday which included performances by electronic punk rockers The Emerald Guard and headliners The Skimmity Hitchers. Denizens of Dorset and purveyors of Scrumpy & Western, the Hitchers - successors to the much-loved Who’s Afear’d – did not disappoint with their fusion of comical folk and humorous renditions of popular tunes which rang out to an energetic audience in the pub’s marquee.
‘Scrump Rock at its best’, a good night was had by all and a staggering £1156.00 was raised through on-the-door donations and raffles. Thank you to all who attended and laughed, danced and sang along and a special thank you to landlady Kate, the staff at the White Hart, Chris Brown, The Emerald Guard, The Skimmity Hitchers and everyone else that helped make the evening a success
