29th January saw Bonkers Bar and Club, Wimborne
buzzing to the sound of reggae and dub beats, various
musical mash-ups and even some choice MC -ing…we do
like to go with the flow at our GT events! Oh what
a night it was. We asked you to turn out and turn
out you did…in your droves!
was fantastic to see so many people from all walks of
life soaking up the sounds and supporting the trust.
It proved to be one of Bonkers’ busiest Saturday nights
so it was smiles all round especially as…
raised £766 on the night and FINALLY REACHED THE £5000
needed to apply for charitable status!!! The total
so far stands at £5041.93!

Marquee, Wimborne's White Hart 23rd
Goes Without A Skimmity Hitch!
Wimborne gig held on 23rd October in aid of The Gunstone
Trust was without doubt a phenomenal success! Revelers
filled the White Hart’s beer garden for the musical
extravaganza on Saturday which included performances
by electronic punk rockers The Emerald Guard and headliners
The Skimmity Hitchers. Denizens of Dorset and purveyors
of Scrumpy & Western, the Hitchers - successors to the
much-loved Who’s Afear’d – did not disappoint
with their fusion of comical folk and humorous renditions
of popular tunes which rang out to an energetic audience
in the pub’s marquee.
Rock at its best’, a good night was had by all and a
staggering £1156.00 was raised through
on-the-door donations and raffles. Thank you to all
who attended and laughed, danced and sang along and
a special thank you to landlady Kate, the staff at the
White Hart, Chris Brown, The Emerald Guard,
The SkimmityHitchers and everyone
else that helped make the evening a success
October 2010 Fundraiser
at Sainsbury's The Gunstone Trust Bags Success!
Thank you to everyone who helped make The Gunstone Trust's
first fundraiser a huge success. We raised over £400 packing
shopping and our appreciation goes to Sainsbury's Talbot
Heath for welcoming us into the store and to all the customers
for their generosity and interest in The Gunstone Trust.
