Promoting Youth and
Community Development

About Us

The Gunstone Trust was founded in memory of Sam Gunstone who was tragically killed on the A31 on 1st May 2010 at the age of 18. An extremely popular young man with a passion for art, skateboarding and the outdoors, his friends and family have decided that this vibrant individual, who so enriched the lives of all of those that had the pleasure of knowing or meeting him, will leave a lasting legacy.

Our Aim

Established to raise funds for much-needed youth and community projects, The Gunstone Trust has its immediate focus on East Dorset (namely Wimborne and the surrounding area) initially, but as the charity grows the Trustees hope there will be scope to cover much more of the County of Dorset

The Gunstone Trust aims to:
ADVANCE IN LIFE AND TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE IN DORSET AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY:
Providing recreational and leisure time activities in the interest of social welfare designed to improve their conditions of life.
Providing support and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals.

We have raised funds to provide music equipment for The Reef youth club and so are now looking for a thrid project to fund.  Details to follow.
